Lifeguard Applications Closed
The Upper Columbia Pool District is no longer accepting applications for summer lifeguards for the new community pool.
Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course fees will be paid by the Upper Columbia Pool District.
Starting pay is $16.28/hour.
Upper Columbia Pool District will pay for your pool membership at Benny’s in order to prepare for the class. Coaching is available.
Applicants must be at least age 15 years by course graduation day
Lifeguard training requires the ability being able to perform the following:
Must be able to complete a 300 yard swim without stopping
Must be able to tread water without using hands for 2 minutes
Must be able to retrieve 10 pound brick from 9 feet of water and swim 20 Yards on your back while holding the brick firmly with both hands, then exit the pool with the brick
